Roy Fabry Studio is a project of Roy Fabry, who works in the Bay Area in northern California. His practice is informed by modern art movements since Impressionism and the work of individual artists.

Largely self-taught, he is inspired by the work of George Condo, Pablo Picasso, Francis Bacon, Vincent van Gogh, Abstract Expressionists, and Pop Artists, with a sprinkling of anime and cartoons.

In his paintings, Roy explores the line between abstraction and figuration, drawing the viewer with forms that seem to recede and move forward, where figures seem to emerge from color and line that suggest strange beings in different psychological states.
